Adventures in Product Revitalisation

weeknotes

Weeknotes from the 12 July 2024

Things I did

Ah, the start of another week. Nothing says excitement quite like a prioritisation marathon. Who doesn't love sifting through tasks and deciding which ones to push off until the next crisis?

Planning for an Ideation Workshop

We’re gearing up for an ideation workshop, diving into the dusty archives of a product that’s been untouched for so long, it’s practically an archaeological dig. But hey, sometimes the best ideas are buried under layers of neglect.

High-Level Storyboarding

Engaged in some high-level storyboarding, which is essentially a way of saying we drew some pretty pictures. It’s all about showing a rough vision of the service without getting bogged down in those pesky details. The "how" will reveal itself once we dive deep into user needs and start testing our wildest assumptions.

End-to-End Discussions

Supported a series of end-to-end discussions as part of a handover. Picture a relay race, but with more jargon and fewer gold medals.

RSS feeds

I finally got round to finding a free tool to allow me to keep upto date with bloggers that I'm interested in. Since not using X or LinkedIn quite as much, I am still keen to know whats going on, especially in the UCD space. I've been using feedly.

A bit about me: I'm a UCD specialist focused on Service and Interaction Design, with a passion for accessibility and creating services for all. I navigate the world with a dry sense of humor, finding the funny side in the most mundane tasks.
